| C.D.I. Systems to Demonstrate NetIS™ at London Book Fair
Platform integrates DRM, WCM and e-commerce
for premium content sales.
LONDON & JERUSALEM--March 12, 2003– C.D.I. Systems, a
developer of e-publishing solutions, today announced the mass-market
release of NetIS™ - the first e-publishing platform that integrates
Web Content Management (WCM), Digital Rights Management (DRM) and
e-commerce tools. NetIS™ is a single, seamless package for publishers
to effectively sell premium content in a secure environment. NetIS™
will be demonstrated at the London Book Fair, March 16-18 (Stand
U183).
Market trends show consumer willingness to pay for premium content,
provided they can preview it, purchase only what they need, and
receive delivery in a useful form. C.D.I. Systems has recognized
this growing trend in its development of NetIS™ for publishers.
NetIS™ features include:
- Flexibility & Personalization – Content vendors can
create flexible products based on pre-defined units rather than
entire documents, and set fees according to user, content, utilization
and delivery form.
- Security – NetIS’ DRM module is transparent and
automatically activated only when an end-user attempts to perform
a restricted function or access. If lacking sufficient rights
the user is then presented with the opportunity to pay the appropriate
licensing fee for the desired functionality and access.
- Lower set up costs & integration - Robust capabilities with
lower licensing-to-installation cost and an XML-based platform,
enable easy deployment and straightforward integration with billing
systems.
- Search & Data Manipulation – Users utilize sophisticated
tools including: multi-level, full-text search; spread-sheet-like
manipulation of the search results; and on-line campaign management.
“NetIS™ enables the selling of premium content via a comprehensive,
flexible and secure e-publishing solution,” said Itzhak Levit,
CEO of C.D.I. Sytems. “The combination of C.D.I. Systems’
track-record as a publisher and technology provider has enabled
the development of a solution that meets market needs and serves
the interests of publishers, integrators, content owners and end-users
alike”.
