Systems Announces the Official Release of AllRights - its Digital
Rights Management Technology
Digital Rights Management solution protects
premium content ...while enabling content owners to control customer
privileges and to safeguard web resources against unauthorized access,
redistribution and misuse.
JERUSALEM---August 7, 2003--C.D.I. Systems, a developer of e-publishing
solutions, today announced the official release of their stand-alone
DRM application – AllRights (http://www.allrights-drm.com).
“AllRights is a robust “stand-alone”
Digital Rights Management solution that protects premium content
in a standard web browser with a high level of granularity, while
enabling content owners to control customer privileges and to safeguard
web resources against unauthorized access, redistribution and misuse” said Itzhak Levit, CEO of C.D.I. Systems. “For publishers,
and other owners of premium content, the World Wide Web has opened
up new ways to reach customers. However this new approach brings
with it the need to secure their valuable content once it is uploaded
to the Web.”
AllRights incorporates a thin, but
highly secure, browser-based approach to assign security controls
to specific customers and on individual resources, such as scripts,
style sheets, images, web pages, directories, etc. Standard browsing
functions like viewing, printing, copying, saving or screen capturing
can be independently granted or denied. Furthermore, these controlled
functions can be set for a limited time, for example the capability
of viewing a document for only 30 seconds prior to purchase.
Another important aspect of AllRights,
as opposed to competitive products, is that no cumbersome installation
is required which interferes with the end-users experience when
searching for needed content. The DRM functionality is initiated,
automatically, only when an end-user attempts to perform any unauthorized
functions or accesses – for example, in the case where a user
attempts to save a document when his privileges allow him to only
view it online.
Earlier this year C.D.I. Systems announced the signing of an OEM
agreement with Aladdin Knowledge Systems (NASDAQ: ALDN). C.D.I.
Systems provided Aladdin with its Digital Rights Management (DRM)
technology for the protection of digital content. The DRM technology
from C.D.I. Systems was incorporated into Aladdin’s HASP DocSeal,
a product based on their proven HASP security key hardware.
