C.D.I. Systems and Rendeck Automatisering sign a System Integration agreement
AMSTERDAM/JERUSALEM---June 5, 2005--C.D.I. Systems Ltd., a premier high-tech solution provider
for the online publishing market and
Rendeck Automatisering B.V., a Dutch system
integrator that provides tailor-made solutions to customers in several fields, have signed an
agreement that appoints Rendeck as an authorized Systems Integrator of NetIS™, C.D.I.
System’s online publishing platform. IBP, a local Business Development agency, was involved
in the matching process.
NetIS™
combines strong web content management and DRM functionality with e-commerce
tools to deliver a platform that controls the access to, and the sale of, premium content in a
secure manner.
NetIS™
enables publishers to segment their premium content into small, concise products.
These contain DRM (Digital Rights Management) functionality, which defines the way that
content, can be viewed on the screen or exploited by the end-users. For example, content
may be displayed for a limited trial period or graphics can be shown with varying levels of
distortion, prior to purchase. After purchasing the content, it can be read/viewed,
downloaded and printed as per the purchased rights. The digital rights can be enforced on
individual items or complete collections of content. Group rights are inherited by the
subordinate items and can be overridden by giving a high degree of management control to
the individual items. There is no limit to the number of different profiles that can be created
in a mergence of content and digital rights.
NetIS™
provides an easy way to locate content, to preview it in a pre-purchase environment
and then to acquire the exact content and relevant usage-rights desired.
Marcel Markus, Managing Director & co-founder of Rendeck, an experienced Dutch
businessman, said: "We are very impressed with NetIS’ unique capabilities, CDI Systems'
professionalism and its practical approach to online publishing. C.D.I. Systems' solution fell in
line with our company’s overall objective to expand the current client base and generate
substantial spin-off revenues in the online publishing area."
"Our goal is to establish a presence in the Dutch marketplace, considered one of the most
prominent markets of the publishing industry," said Itzhak Levit, C.D.I. Systems CEO.
"The agreement with Rendeck is part of our strategy to expand the company’s presence in
Western Europe, following the success in France and Germany. Rendeck is equipped with a
winning team and a proven success track record that can assist us in reaching our business
goals in the Netherlands."
Rendeck has already compiled a detailed penetration plan, and intends to establish the sales
and marketing program with its own marketing partners in The Netherlands. This will ensure
that potential customers are identified and approached. CDI System’s professionals will be
part of the process to guarantee that all technical perspectives are covered and mastered by
Rendeck staff.
According to the latest research of the Online Publishes Association (OPA) Europe, online
publishing has become a mature, independent, and successful industry. The majority of
European online publishers are turning into independent profit and loss centres, of which
65% have reached profitability in 2004.
Total online revenues from advertising and paid content in Europe are expected to increase
to 2.1 billion Euro by 2008, which is equivalent to a compound annual growth rate of 16%.
