Inspur Group, one of the most prominent IT companies in China,
met with C.D.I. Systems management to discuss possible cooperation.
|
|
Aug 2, 2007, JERUSALEM- A top-level delegation from Inspur Group met last Thursday
with C.D.I. Systems management team. The delegation, which came to Israel as a guest
of the Israel Export Institution, provided information about Inspur activities and
corporation, as well as their intent to review and cooperate with Israeli companies
and Israeli technology.
|
|
|
|
The delegation included Mr. Yu Zhilou, Vice General Manager Director of Inspur Qilu Software Industry Co.,
Ltd, along with 7 other executives. Also joining the delegation were Mr.
Wen Jun, a representative of the Chinese government (Director, Division of Asia and
Africa of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology),
|
|
and Mr. Chen Dechun, the Third secretary of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China
in the State of Israel.
|
After presenting C.D.I. Systems innovative technology - NetIS online publishing platform,
equipped with the unique DRM and e-commerce modules - the two sides discussed possible
cooperation strategies on several fields including R&D, also discussed were the benefits
of extending C.D.I. System's DRM capabilities to support Inspur Mobile devices and
storage protection add-ons.
|
In his summary, Mr Zhilou highlighted that as a Mobile device producer in partnership with LG,
Inspur finds the Mobile solution for OMA DRM strategic and interesting,
as well as exploring the online publishing industry, an industry Inspur currently
has no activities in. The sides concluded that R&D cooperation between C.D.I.
Systems and Inspur should be further explored.
|
Mr. Wen Jun, the Chinese government a director added that China now promotes
an e-government project, and believes that the possibility for incorporating NetIS
can be very relevant.
|
One of the main obstacles in China's digital-age publishing, as an evolving market,
is the protection of intellectual property against illegal access and usage.
The Internet, besides being an easy and low-cost medium for mass distribution
of content, is largely exposed to illegal copying and distribution of these rights.
|
|
NetIS DRM module brings a new message to the market by maintaining content protection,
and relieving the content owners' worries from abuse of IP.
|
"The possible cooperation with a Chinese company, especially one with the magnitude such as Inspur's,
promotes C.D.I. Systems' plan to continue expanding its global presence " said Itzhak Levit,
CEO of C.D.I. Systems. "Like most of the business community, we too see the
world's most populous country as potentially our most profitable market; this huge
and untapped market holds great promise for C.D.I. Systems strategy".
