CDI’s CEO appears on Deloitte’s “New Media 2010” panel for “Paying for Content” July 6th, 2010 – London, UK CDI’s CEO, Itzhak Levit was a New Media delegate at Deloitte’s New Media gathering in London this month. He was asked to participate on a panel alongside with Tom Whitewell, Assistant Editor, Online, The Times, Nicole Yershon, Director, Innovative Solutions, Ogilvy, and Sara Linfoot, Digital Innovation Manager, The Guardian. The panel was chaired by Andrew Haughton, Senior Manager, Deloitte. The one hour panel discussion focused on such issues as consumer acceptance of paying for content online, what are the pro and con of such an enterprise and where is the trend heading. “In truth,” Mr. Levit was quoted as saying, “unless a publishing house has a strong ePublishing format that provides everything from customer and web management, strong SEO together with a powerful DRM and an inclusive eCommerce solution, then they are like a babe in the woods.” “Technology today,” he added, “has come of age. With the advent of the iPad and other sophisticated readers about to hit the global market, any publisher who is not on board with ePublishing is one foot out of the industry.” Attendees include industry giants from such companies as BBC, Channel 4, MTV, Conde Nast, Associated Press, Google and many others.
